A few weeks since we have posted anything and we can’t blame the snow as the computer lives in the living room where we have spent time keeping warm !
Sat wondering about what to talk about in the world of LARP, I got to thinking about the trousers I have been wearing in this cold weather….an odd thought I know but the cold must have got to my brain.
During the past few weeks it has been finding the best trousers for the conditions which worked out as combats. But, combats aren’t much use in LARP, well depends what sort of LARP I suppose.
At LARP events, depending on the time of year, I have worn lightweight LARP cotton trousers, leather trousers or both if it was really cold !
At Darkblade we sell 3 styles of trousers:
LARP Cotton Trousers:

These are cotton trousers with pockets, ideal for summer. They come in sizes from 36-46 waist and in black and brown.
LARP Leather Trousers:

All purpose, generic leather trousers. Sizes 30-48 waist
Madness Pants:
http://www.darkbladeuk.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=77&CAT_ID=80&P_ID=505
Cotton/Linen pants with a “baggy” look. Come in Black/Natural, Natural/Black and Brown/Natural. Plenty of room in these for sandwiches, ferrets, extra weapons or a small army of goblins.
During my early years of LARPing we sometimes had to wear black jeans as there were no suitable LARP trousers around. OK I am going back many years but I can’t see any reason these days for the jeans and trainers look on the LARP scene. Also, don’t get me started on the “metal” T-Shirt. I have seen a few people buying expensive weapons but haven’t spent a small amount on a simple tunic or tabbard to cover up the “metal” T-Shirt. With the amount of LARP traders around these days for about £50 you can get some trousers and at least a LARP Shirt. That is about the same as a basic one handed sword.
Thats enough for now, I am going away to have a think about what to winge about next…
